MANIFESTO

The Visual Ethos

The Manifesto

"Every masterpiece has a story. We tell the other side."

I. The Premise

Every great work of art depicts one side of a moment.

The painter chose a composition, a gaze, a gesture, a light source. That choice defined what we see — but it also defined what we don't see.

The subject looked at someone. What was behind them? The painter stood somewhere. What did they see when they turned around?

There is a world of stories hiding on the other side of every masterpiece.
III. The Philosophy

Completing the conversation that the artist started.

"Every painting is a question. The artist decided which answer to show us. Opposism politely asks: What was the other answer?"
